American Folk Art Museum Make It Thursday- 2 Lincoln Square (near Columbus Ave. and 66th st) New York, NY

RePlayGround will host Make It Thursday at the American Folk Art Museum! Drop in for a hands-on workshop where you can make your own soda tab bracelet, and get your copy of ReMake It! signed by author Tiffany Threadgould.

Tiffany Threadgould of RePlayGround will serve as a panelist for the annual IDSA Design Summit 2012. The panel will discuss key factors impacting the current state of design industries, sharing their unique perspective on what will make for success in 2012.

RePlayGround's Tiffany Threadgould was featured author at Barnes & Noble! She signed copies of ReMake It! Recycling Projects from the Stuff You Usually Scrap, and taught a recycling craft project to make and take!

Queens Library Workshops 2011

RePlayGround teamed up with the Queens libraries to offer a series of upcycling workshops. We taught how to make newspaper gift bags, CD game spinners, magazine bead bracelets and more at various library locations over the course of several months.

Pratt Institute 125th Anniversary Kickoff, Brooklyn NY, Oct. 1, 2011

We helped start the school year off with a bang at Pratt's fall kickoff! RePlayGround's Tiffany Threadgould and Abby Kelly are Pratt alumni, so we were happy to head back to campus to spread some recycling fun. We taught how to upcycle old Prattfolios into magazine stationary and gift bows, and we got to chat it up with Pratt students, parents, and fellow alumns!

Maker Faire

Maker Faire NYC, New York Hall of Science, Queens NY, Sept. 17-18, 2011

The 2nd Annual Maker Faire was a great success! RePlayGround was one of over a hundred showcasing makers who came out for a fun filled weekend. Fairgoers helped us build a mural out of bottlecap magnets that spelled out the word MAKE. We also ran a workshop on making your own paper picture frame from old magazines.

Creative Connection

The Creative Connection, The Crowne Plaza, St. Paul MN, Sept. 15-17, 2011

This 3 day event was jam-packed with social media and business panels, tech workshops and business roundtables, hands-on workshops, food panels and classes, shopping and more! RePlayGround taught a workshop on how to upcycle old magazines into colorful coasters, beads and stationary!

Maker Days

In celebration of the 2nd annual Maker Faire, RePlayGround took part in Maker Days at the NY Hall of Science. We provided eco-crafty projects over the course of three weekends. Maker Days made for some great summer fun!

Summer Streets

Summer Streets with GoGo squeeZ™
, Foley Square, NYC, August 6, 13, and 20, 2011

We teamed up with GoGo Squeez and TerraCycle to bring fun, free projects from upcycled GoGo Squeez packaging. We created gift bows and wallets for those on the go go. Go Go Squeez is commited to sustainability through their TerraCycle program and we had a blast teaching participants how to upcycle their wrappers in fun, innovate ways.

Earth Day NYC, Grand Central Terminal, April 22-23, 2011
In celebration of Earth Day, we spent the weekend at the biggest earth party of the year! This year we brought crafty recycling projects to the fair, and inspired people to remake trash into treasure, not just on Earth Day, but every day!

Etsy Meetups

We visited the Brooklyn Skillshare in order to teach a class on glass etching! The workshop was part of an amazing day of crafty learning that was open to the public! (Check out the great roster of classes here.)
